Founders often use a financial model, business plan, and pitch deck to keep these assumptions consistent. The documents are useful only when the same chair count, opening date, pricing, staffing, funding, and owner contribution appear everywhere. A lender will notice when the narrative promises premium service while the model assumes value pricing and extreme chair turnover.
Final investment test
The salon is financially credible when conservative sales cover cash obligations, the base case produces a reasonable owner return, and the upside case does not depend on impossible chair utilization or unpaid labor.
